FAQ

Short answers to common Pocketmind questions.

Is my data used to train public models?

Pocketmind sends content you save to AI providers so the product can summarize, embed, and answer. Whether a given provider retains or trains on that traffic depends on our contracts and their policies — the public privacy policy describes what we collect, not a blanket “no training” guarantee. For a written commitment for your workspace, email hello@pocketmind.ai.

Why is a save still processing?

Large PDFs, long videos, and slow source sites take longer. Wait and refresh. If it never completes, try uploading the file directly or another URL — some sites block server-side fetching.

Why does chat refuse or answer vaguely?

Usually the library lacks enough relevant sources, or the question is too broad. Save a tighter source set, name a collection, and ask for citations. See Asking your knowledge.

Does the Chrome extension work yet?

It is marked Soon on the site. Use URL capture or PWA link-share until the extension ships.

Can I self-host?

Not today. Pocketmind runs as a hosted service. Self-hosting is something we want to offer later; email hello@pocketmind.ai if your team needs it so we can hear about the requirement.

Where do I get human help?

Email support@pocketmind.ai. For product feedback, hello@pocketmind.ai.
